A Program That’s Built for You

Every student has unique circumstances. The Master of Social Work Program online provides a variety of ways to pursue the degree so you can find the best option to fit your life and schedule around a mostly asynchronous class schedule and field placements in your community.

The program features two concentrations1 (clinical social work practice or social work administration, planning and policy practice), two curriculum tracks (regular: full-time or part-time; advanced standing: full-time), and three convenient annual start times. Regardless of the track you choose, you will benefit from the same expert faculty and rigorous curriculum and participate in enriching field placement opportunities.

Use the dropdown menus below to design your personalized plan. You can also review the course descriptions or explore the curriculum visualizer to learn more about program requirements. If you have additional questions, please get in touch with us today.

What Is the Advanced Standing Option?

The advanced standing option is an accelerated one-year path to earning your degree. Program candidates holding a B.S.W. from a CSWE-accredited institution that is no more than five years old and an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0, and who received a “B” or “pass” in senior field placement, are eligible to apply. If the applicant has not completed their senior placement, one of their letters of recommendation should be from someone who can assess their potential to do well in a field placement.

In addition to the standard application package, applicants must submit a written case assessment and meet additional field requirements.
